MALCOLM MCDOWELL helped us raise even more funds for foster kiddos by autographing broadcast CD copes for cast, crew and listeners. NOTE: This show won multiple international awards, including the New York Festival Award for outstanding special event production. This all-volunteer production was made possible with resources provided by Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks, Barkerductions in Ventura for equipment, and Goldcoast Broadcasting for air time. Historians cite Dickens created the redemption of an embittered soul for several reasons. His previous work hadn’t sold well. His friend Washington Irving urged Dickens to write about fading English Christmas customs. He wrote it for the children in his family. And, being a social advocate, Dickens wanted to shed light on workhouses, child labor, debtor’s prisons, and the plight of poor.  Malcolm home photo- James Wortman
